Uma Sen is a Sophomore at UC Berkeley, intending to double major in Public Health and Economics. She will be working with fellow volunteers on the Centers of Expertise project regarding women’s health, gender, and empowerment with a strong focus on campus-wide sexual assault policies, providing strong liaison support through the ASUC. Additionally, she will be co-leading the Innovations for Youth (I4Y) project to improve adolescent health in real world settings. Ultimately, she hopes to one day work in the United Nations or the World Bank in order to tackle public health policy and structure. She hopes to have her work surround her interests in women’s reproductive health, infectious diseases, and improving health systems in developing countries. Her ultimate goal is to make health more accessible to all people.
