Bixby Scientific Director Dr. Ndola Prata and doctoral student Caitlin Gerdts were honored at the Population Association of America annual meeting for their poster: “Exploring Unmet Need: Contraceptive Use Patterns Among Repeat Abortion Seekers in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.” Research presented concluded that in order to reduce the burden of repeat abortions, policy-makers in Ethiopia should focus their efforts on reaching single, poor, and young women and facilitate regular supply of contraceptive methods at facilities.
