Rebecca Hémono is a first year Doctor of Public Health student at UC Berkeley. She currently serves as a Graduate Student Researcher for Innovations for Youth (i4Y) focusing on reproductive and sexual health and child marriage. Prior to attending UC Berkeley, Rebecca worked with the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, where she managed a large-scale impact evaluation. Her past research has assessed risks of gender-based violence and sexual and reproductive health needs among Syrian refugees in Greece and Turkey. Her other research interests include maternal and child health, intimate partner violence, and program evaluation in low-income countries and humanitarian settings. Rebecca received her BA from American University and her MPH from École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique in France.
