Each summer, the Bixby Center funds graduate student summer internships and dissertation research. The principal focus of the program is on family planning education and access in low and middle income countries. (Internships that focus only on HIV/AIDS do not meet the criteria.) Summer internships should be outside of the United States and must concentrate on sexual and reproductive health. Items of doctoral research relevant to the above topics could be conducted in the United States. The program is open to first-year Master’s students and Doctoral students in the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley.
